Libya: The High Electoral Commission Announces the Acceptance of the Papers of the Presidential Candidate Saif Al-Islam Qaddafi

The High Electoral Commission announced that its headquarters are witnessing the progress of new candidates for the position of the Presidency of the State. Today, Sunday, November 14, 2021, the Sebha Electoral Management Office witnessed the acceptance of the papers of the candidate Dr. Saif Al-Islam Qaddafi, to be the second candidate for this position. In the past two days, the Electoral Administration Office in Tripoli witnessed the acceptance of the papers of candidate Abdel Hakim Bayou, as the first file of a presidential candidate. It is expected that the coming days will witness the submission of more candidates upon completing their legal formulations, which were determined by the regulations of the Commission in accordance with the articles of Law No. (1) of 2021 issued by the House of Representatives regarding the election of the head of state.
