Ali Mosbah Abu Sbeiha, head of the Social Council for the Tribes and Cities of Fezzan, criticized Stephanie Williams, the advisor to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, for failure to deal impartially with political figures.
Abu Sbeiha said in an open letter, “What makes you lose impartiality and credibility, standing at the same distance from all the spectra of the Libyan people, is your focus on certain personalities and parties while excluding others… and ignoring of certain areas, dropping them from your accounts such as the Fezzan region”… These are behaviors that cause the majority of the people to “doubt your integrity and distrust your actions, which are considered biased to some parties.”
The head of the Social Council for the Tribes and Cities of Fezzan added, “Any act or statement on your part that deviates from the desire of the Libyan people, which they expressed in their demonstrations, which include holding elections as soon as possible and not plunging the country in a new transitional phase, respecting the elections law and the rulings issued according to it, is considered a departure from the will of the Libyan people.” This will not lead to a solution to the political problem and will make it more difficult and complicated. We hold you legally and morally responsible for all the unimaginable consequences.”
