From Tatuy Tv, we promote the International campaign “A Hug for Bolivia” together with the platform Alba Movimientos, as a contribution to the re-election of Evo Morales as President and Álvaro García Linera as Vice President, who fight for the continuity of the process of transformation of Bolivian society, in the next elections on October 20.
This initiative was launched on September 5, as part of the commemoration of Indigenous Women’s Day, in homage to Bartolina Sisa, leader of the insurgency for Bolivian independence. The campaign seeks to promote international support for Bolivia, gathering expressions of solidarity and support, synthesized in an embrace, to the process of Bolivian transformation that has achieved social, economic, political and cultural milestones that position it as a world example in the struggle against neoliberalism and for the dignity of peoples. In Evo’s re-election is the future of the revolutionary project, and the curbing of the continent’s right-wing advance.
Latin America is currently undergoing a neoliberal onslaught, as a result of the rise of anti-people governments that have jeopardized the political and social stability of Our America, such as the governments of Macri, Bolsonaro, Duque and Moreno. Bolivia’s plurinational project is a trench of resistance against this advance, which serves as a wall of containment and hope for the peoples now oppressed.
We call on social movements, fronts, popular organizations, political parties, community and alternative media, training and research centers, and the different movements of struggle around the world to participate and spread this communicational campaign of solidarity.
You can participate by producing, sharing and disseminating written, graphic, photographic, audiovisual and radio material: illustrations, photo galleries, posters, infographics, songs, reports, podcasts, news spots, interviews, poetry, and messages of support; as well as any initiative and gesture that grassroots organizations contribute to nourish the necessary solidarity with Bolivia.

The campaign has 6 points in which we can utilize from our spaces to promote re-election, which we will present below.
1- Close-up Bolivia: A way of approaching the Bolivian reality, seeking to study, reflect and answer the basic questions about the complexity of Bolivian society.
2- The Bolivian Reasons: Seeks to address the concerns and tensions that have arisen concerning the questions: Why support the revolutionary political process? Why vote for Evo?
Some of these reasons are:
– Political unity within cultural diversity: it starts from the constitutional recognition of the 36 indigenous nationalities and their cultural and idiomatic vindication, as well as from the set of policies that make Bolivian multiculturalism visible and vindicate it.
– The economic program of nationalizations: key to understanding the nature of the resources available to the Bolivian government that have allowed it to achieve the economic growth necessary to significantly improve the living conditions of the population.
– Social conquests: Evo’s government promotes social justice and equality through the redistribution of economic surpluses and the development of a broad spectrum of social programs.
– Respect for Mother Earth: which, despite the difficulties of nature and the contradictions to be overcome, is a vital policy for Plurinational Bolivia, not only as a permanent feature of President Evo Morales’ speech, but also as the central axis of his policy.
– The people as protagonist: to highlight the important process of popular participation that is being promoted with the process of change.
– Bolivia is a woman: it has become a central feature of the Bolivian government’s policy of inclusion, providing more and more spaces for women’s participation and representation, leading to a process of reflection and depatriarchalization of the social and political structures of Bolivian society.
3- The embrace between peoples seeks effective links between the peoples of the world and the Bolivian people. It seeks manifest and concrete solidarity through mechanisms of dialogue between the organizations and social movements of the different countries.

4- #SiFueraBolivian@VotaríaPorEvo: constitutes a call to vote, made by young people of different nationalities, who with their testimonies encourage and revalue the conquests reached by the Bolivian people and government.
5- #ReverbackNever: As a warning against the danger that in the face of an electoral defeat, Bolivia will go back to its dark neoliberal past.
6- Counter-information: Attempts to dismantle lies, manipulation, defamation and slander, as has been done with the disastrous situation of the fires in Chiquitanía, , affecting 16 municipalities in the department of Santa Cruz.
Tatuy Television and Alba Movimientos invite you to participate in this International Campaign of Solidarity with Bolivia, and in turn, contact us in the networks and social media to send us your fraternal greetings.
