Libya in the Last 24 Hours: LNA’s Air Force Targets Chadian Armed Groups in Murzuq

MURZUQ – The Military Information Division of the Libyan National Army (LNA) said on Wednesday that the army’s Air Force has targeted Chadian armed repel groups in the southern city of Murzuq.

According to the Military Information Division, LNA forces are pursuing militants who attempt to flee, besieging other groups after their attempts to target LNA forces points in Murzuq.

This comes following multiple episodes of violence initiated by Chadian armed groups in the city during the past few weeks.

Chadian armed rebel groups have exploited the security vacuum in southern Libya for their criminal objectives. To achieve these objectives, Chadian militants have been inciting racial tensions between Libyan Arabs and Libyan Toubous in order to rally the latter against the former.

BENGHAZI – Spokesman of the General Command of the Libyan National Army (LNA), General Brigadier Ahmed al-Mesmari, said militias of the Tripoli-based Government of National Accord (GNA) are reeling in front of the army strikes, especially after the destruction of the Turkish air defense system in Misrata.
