The Address | Benghazi – Libya
WASHINGTON – A delegation of the House of Representatives, led by House member Hamid Houmah, visited the United States Capitol on Wednesday.
The delegation includes Chairman of the Committee of Defense and National Security Talal Al-Mayhoub; Chairman of the Committee of Supervisory Bodies Zayed Hadia; Chairman of the Health Committee Nasr Eddin Muhanna; Tarhouna representative Sabah Juma and Tripoli representative Ali Tkbali.
The Libyan representatives met with a number of their U.S. counterparts including Republican Senator John Cornyn.
During the visit, the delegation stressed upon the legitimacy of the Libyan National Army (LNA) and the importance of the war it is waging in Tripoli to combat terrorism and the chaos of gangs and militias. They also affirmed their support for LNA which gained legal authority and support from the House.
