Libya’s Zintan Elders: GNA Militias Supported by Turkish Regime Responsible for the Gharyan Hospital Massacre

The Supreme Council of the Zintan Elders and Tribal Leaders said that the Islamist regime in Turkey headed by Recep Tayyip Erdogan is responsible for the massacre of Gharyan, in which the wounded of the Libyan National Army were killed inside Gharyan Central Hospital, after Islamist groups allied with Fayez al-Sarraj government (GNA) stormed the city last week.

“The government of al-Sarraj is also responsible for this heinous crime, which is a war crime against humanity and a violation of international humanitarian law and the Geneva Conventions of 1949, that stress on protecting the wounded, prisoners, and civilians,” the Supreme Council said in a statement.
