We commemorate the day of the CRBZIST militant in the midst of the most difficult scenario that the Bolivian Revolution has had to face in these 20 years of transforming efforts. We continue to honour Víctor Díaz Ojeda, whose unfortunate departure we remember today in honour of all those who, like him, have given everything, life and death for a new homeland. We are charting the course he set with his example and legacy. We are aware that we are facing a foreign aggression of enormous proportions and on all battle fronts. Our homeland is today besieged, surrounded and attacked, which obliges us without hesitation to assume a strong patriotic and sovereign stance in defense of peace, democracy and solidarity. Under this strategic political line we define and organize the efforts and contributions of #LaCorriente for the current stage of the struggle.
We act on all possible fronts to place the movement in a position to accompany the people in these battles and in any situation or conditions of struggle that arise. We work with great faith for peace, to prevent the country from being led into war, which would be catastrophic for its future. We are fervent militants for peace, for a resolution that avoids greater and worse consequences than the current one, but we do not deceive ourselves, we know that the foreign aggressor led by the United States is executing a plan of attack using the cruel and inhuman scorched earth, which ranges from the total collapse of our economy to direct military aggression to impose a puppet government aligned with its interests. That is why we are advancing a comprehensive preparedness plan. We seek to raise the moral, technical and organizational capabilities to fulfill our patriotic duty in the face of this aggression. We are a modest social-political accumulator, we do not ignore this, but we have a powerful moral and ethical force, a high willingness to fight, a great unitary spirit and a strong loyalty to what we have historically been as a people. And this is an invincible weapon.
We have defined a political line to confront the current situation that can be summed up as peace, sovereignty, democracy and solidarity, which determines the current tasks of the movement. Defending peace means preparing to defend it in all fields and forms of struggle; defending sovereignty means uniting efforts with all patriotic sectors against aggression, even in the midst of differences; the defense of democracy is working to respect the current framework of the political model based on the direct participation of the people; it is the defense of the Bolivarian constitution and the right to provide us with the political model we want as a people.
In the midst of a serious economic and social situation to which our people are subjected and in which meeting basic needs is the daily battle, it is our duty to be in that battle with those who suffer most from the consequences of the commercial and financial blockade that aggravates the crisis and limits the capacity of the Bolivarian government to fulfill its basic functions. That is why we have defined a fundamental political direction, which is to organize and multiply solidarity, which translates into efforts by the people themselves, from the altruism and kindness that characterizes us as a people, to deploy actions to bring solidarity to those who suffer most. This Day of the Crbzista Combatant we will be deployed in the territories with solidarity aid operations in line with this line of action.
On this day in which we exalt the perennial example of Víctor Díaz Ojeda, we send our recognition to all the crbzista fighters, and with this, our encouragement and exhortation that we continue to stand firm, that we grow in the midst of difficulty, convinced that in the end our cause, that is the cause for a just, democratic and humane homeland, will win. No matter how hard the times may be, let us always be worthy descendants and heirs of our ancestors. We are certain that as crbzistas we will know how to assume the burden of the time in which we had to live and in which we had to fight.
