Russia will present a proposal to the United Nations Security Council to resolve the situation in Venezuela and in response to the United States’ intention to impose a resolution calling for elections.
According to Russia Today, Alexander Schetinin, director of the Latin American department of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, specified the details. “We have proposed a draft that, in our opinion, could become the basis of a consensus or at least obtain a majority of votes,” he said.
In addition, he added that they coordinate a project to be discussed by different countries. “A decision will be made based on the results of this work,” Schetini said.
