Of the Spokesman for the Libyan National Popular Movement about the refusal of the Tunisian Authorities to allow Dr. Mustafa Zaidi, the Movement’s Secretary of the Executive Committee to enter Tunisia to participate in a meeting dealing with the Libyan crisis.

Dr. Mustafa Zaidi, Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Libyan National Popular Movement, received an invitation from the Center for Human Dialogue, which is delegated by the United Nations Support Mission in Libya to participate in an informal consultative meeting in Tunis from 6 to 8/12/2018 to discuss the final report of the so-called “Libyan National Forum”.
Despite our previous reservations on some of the Center’s activities, the invitation was accepted in order to contribute to finding real solutions to the Libyan crisis, and an agreement among all spectrums of the national scene and supporters of the Jamahiri system to positively participate in the forum.
Unfortunately, Dr. Mustafa Zaidi was prevented from entering Tunisian territory without presenting any reasons, although he has already entered Tunisian territory a few weeks ago.
While we condemn this arbitrary and provocative action, we would like to state the following to the national and international public opinion:
Firstly:
This incident confirms the persistence of futile approach that accompanied the previous attempts of meetings and conferences that were based on the principles of exclusion and marginalization of the active national spectrums.
Secondly:
Unfortunately, this action indicates that the Tunisian Republic is an inappropriate place to hold meetings and dialogues among the Libyan parties and cast doubt on some of the influential parties in Tunisia and their neutrality towards the Libyan situation.
Thirdly:
We hold the Center for Humanitarian Dialogue responsible for what has happened, which requires it to take practical steps to clarify the real reasons behind this action and to morally redress the national party.
Fourthly:
We call upon Dr. Ghassan Salama, the head of the United Nations Support Mission, which indirectly sponsors this meeting to draw the attention to the necessity of verifying the subject based on what it might create of a dangerous precedent that will threaten the future of the peace process in Libya and jeopardizes his plan for an inclusive conference without exclusion or marginalization.
Fifthly:
The national forces, supporters of the Jamahiri system, are fully in agreement to move forward in the search for a peaceful solution to the Libyan crisis, which always responds to the serious and far-reaching initiatives that are not based on exclusion and marginalization.
Sixthly:
We applaud the positions of all national forces that have condemned this exclusionary measure and declare our constant readiness to formulate an all-inclusive comprehensive national vision project that lays the foundations for a new, secure, stable, independent and sovereign state in which the Libyans exercise their undiminished sovereignty and full rights.

بيان صحفي
تلقى الدكتور مصطفي الزائدي أمين اللجنة التنفيذية للحركة الوطنية الشعبية الليبية، دعوة من مركز الحوار الإنساني المكلف من بعثة الأمم المتحدة للدعم في ليبيا، للمشاركة في اجتماع تشاوري غير رسمى بتونس من 6 إلى2018.12.8 لمناقشة التقرير الختامي لما يسمى “الملتقى الوطني الليبي”.
ورغم تحفظاتنا السابقة على بعض نشاطات المركز، ثم قبول الدعوة من أجل المساهمة في ايجاد حلول حقيقية للأزمة الليبية، وتم التوافق مع كل أطياف المشهد الوطنى وأنصار النظام الجماهيري على المشاركة الإيجابية.
ولشديد الأسف تم منع الأخ الدكتور مصطفي الزائدى من دخول الأراضي التونسية بدون ابداء أي أسباب، بالرغم من أنه سبق وأن دخل الأراضى التونسية منذ أسابيع قليلة.
وإذ نستنكر هذا الإجراء التعسفي الإستفزازي نبين للرأي العام الوطنى والدولى الأتى:
أولا:
تؤكد هذه الواقعة استمرار منهج العبث الذي صاحب المحاولات السابقة للإجتماعات والمؤتمرات السابقة المبنية على مبادئ الإقصاء والتهميش للأطراف الوطنية الفاعلة.
ثانيا:
للأسف الشديد بين هذا الإجراء أن الجمهورية التونسية مكان غير مناسب لعقد اجتماعات وحوارات بين الأطراف الليبية ويلقى بضلال الشك حول بعض الأطراف المؤثرة في تونس وعدم حياديتها تجاه الحالة الليبية.
ثالثا:
نحمل مركز الحوار الإنساني المسؤولية تجاه ما جرى الأمر الذي يفرض عليه القيام بإجراءات عملية لإستيضاح الأسباب الحقيقية وراء هذا الإجراء ورد الإعتبار للطرف الوطنى.
رابعا:
نتوجه إلى معالي الدكتور غسان سلامة رئيس بعثة الأمم المتحدة للدعم التى ترعى هذا الإجتماع بشكل غير مباشر، بالدعوة إلى ضرورة التحقق من الموضوع لما سيشكله من سابقة خطيرة تهدد مستقبل العملية السلمية في ليبيا، ويضر بخطته في شأن مؤتمر جامع يضم كل الأطراف دون إقصاء أو تهميش.
خامسا:
إن موقف القوى الوطنية انصار النظام الجماهيري، متفقة تماما على المضي قدما في البحث عن حل سلمي للأزمة الليبية، تتجاوب دائما مع المبادرات الجدية البعيدة، عن الإقصاء والتهميش .
سادسا:
نحيي مواقف كافة القوى الوطنية التي استنكرت هذا الإجراء الإقصائي، ونعلن استعدادنا الدائم لبلورة مشروع رؤية وطنية جامعة شاملة تؤسس لدولة جديدة أمنة مستقرة مستقلة ذات سيادة يمارس فيها الليبيون سيادتهم غير المنقوصه وحقوقهم كاملة.
