Neither the cold of the Savannah of Bogotá, nor the cold indifference of the state, will be able to extinguish the flame of the struggle for life in our territories!
The Embera, Wounaan and Zenú Indigenous Peoples, of the Municipalities of RioSucio and Carmen de Darién del Chocó, in Minga for Life and dignity, mobilized and walking the word in the city of Bogotá, continue indefinitely, and join the Student Mobilization this Thursday throughout the country.
We continue walking the word, in Minga for Life, for that reason, we condemn the treatment that the Government of President Iván Duque and the Mayor of Bogotá Enrique Peñalosa has given to the Minga Indígena del Chocó.
“We have been fleeing violence and here in Bogota we have been revictimized; The mobilization in the capital of Colombia, protest in the Plaza de Bolivar, and condemned to the torture of the cold of the Savannah and the indifference of the institution that ignores the reality of the regions, such as that of the Chocó”.
Despite the discriminatory and xenophobic treatment of many, we remain convinced and set on dialogue as a natural principle of the Indigenous Being, which is why we reiterate the need to continue talking and agreeing from government to government. Therefore, we require the presence of all the ministers headed by President Iván Duque Marques, and the Mayor of Bogotá DC so that they give decisive answers, once and for all, to the just struggles of the Indigenous Peoples of Chocó and the country.
We call on all Indigenous Peoples, the indigenous organizations of the country in regions and in the context of the city, Afro brothers and peasants to mobilize, this Thursday throughout the territories of Colombia and the world.
As the problem of one, is THE problem of all! We support and join the river of the fight for the defense of public education, therefore we will walk with all the students and professors who will lead the fight in the head of UNEES.
We are Peoples in struggle, resistance and dignity; today and always, boys, girls, women, young and old, we come to Bogota ready to follow the path that our ancestors have made, we expect from the institutions real answers, not only for the Peoples but for all humanity, as we are the original peoples the guardians of Mother Earth, for the good of all.
We summon all human rights organizations, national and international, to the public ministry to accompany, verify and denounce the critical humanitarian situation in which we find the indigenous mobilized in the capital.
We appreciate the solidarity of many who have given us shelter, we know that we are not alone.
Keep counting on us for peace, never for war!
