Libya: Western Tribes Support the 7th Brigade and Demand the Immediate Dissolution of Tripoli’s Militias

The delegation said in a statement on Monday that it was witnessing extraordinary events in the city of Tripoli these days, stressing that this requires the Libyan tribes in the western region to clearly define their position.

The statement stressed their strong support for the institutions of the army and the police in accordance with professional discipline, including the seventh brigade.

The delegation stressed that Tripoli is the capital of all Libyans, declaring their absolute dissatisfaction that the capital is dependent on militias that have taken control of the decision-making circles,  stolen our capabilities and corrupted the land.

They also stressed the need to dissolve the militias immediately, calling on the youth  to quickly dislodge them.

The delegation of tribes in the western region affirm the need to activate service institutions, regain sovereign control and end state of economic and security deterioration, which has caused  humiliation of Libya’s citizens.

The delegation concluded by rejecting the bombing of cities, especially the bombing of the city of Tarhona, and called for an investigation into the attack.
