For September, we make no apology. The triumph of the Al Fateh Revolution was a victory not only for Libya, but for all of humanity. This we must never forget!
In July, former detainee Mohammed Azwai presented a draft proposal (Forget September and February) to members of the Libyan Popular National Movement, Libyan National Assembly, Popular Revolutionary Front and independent activists in Cairo. The proposal outlined a vision for a “new Libya” based on meetings initiated by *Khaled Al Sharif (please see the note below) and four Al Hadba detainees, three who had been sentenced to death.
The nature of this alliance is as controversial as the proposal itself. Many detainees, including Dr Dorda, wanted no part in this process.
These negotiations purportedly began in March, 2016, yet while they were taking place, murders, crimes against humanity and war crimes were still being committed by the LIFG.
If Al Sharif were negotiating in good faith these atrocites would not have happened. Neither would they be happening today as we write this commentary.
The fact that the detainees have not been released raises further concerns.
To highlight the character of the nefarious mastermind of the “Forget September and February” initiative, consider the following;
In March, during a meeting with Turkish intelligence in Istanbul, Khaled Al Sharif proposed the assassination of Libyan National Army officers in Tripoli as a means of neutralizing opposition to the Muslim Brotherhood’s usurpation of Libya. The agenda involved replacing the legitimate Libyan National Army with his National Guard. As a result of his initiative, many LNA officers were brutally murdered. (please see the note below)
In May the former Secretary of Women’s Affairs in the Tawerghan People’s Congress, Fawzia Chalghoum, detained since 2011 for the crime of having black skin, died in Tripoli following a particularly savage torture session.
On June 11, fifteen prisoners who had been acquitted were betrayed, barbarously tortured and executed inside Al Hadba before their bodies were placed on gruesome display throughout Tripoli.

The timing of this spurious agreement also raises other urgent questions since it follows Saif Gaddafi’s release and his stated intent to remain in the country, unite Libya, eliminate terrorism and restore sovereignty. Saif Al Islam has the support of the majority of Libyan tribes who have publicly pledged their allegiance to him.
We oppose the Forget September and February movement for many reasons, but most of all because we recognize it as an instrument being skillfully used to prop up the US-UN-instated Government of Accord and its Muslim Brotherhood supporters who seek the total destruction of the elected House of Representatives in Tobruk and with it, Libya’s National Army. They reinforce public opinion through psychological warfare and propaganda that reconciliation is only possible through Tripoli.
As with imperialist nations seeking to recolonize Libya, the Forget September and February movement ignore the Libyan people and the Tribes.
They promote terrorist militias as an alternative to the legitimate Libyan army.
They promote a client regime that is a theocratic dictatorship as an alternative to a tolerant, secular government.
With this in mind, today we reject the newly published claim that Abdullah Senussi encouraged the original Doha meetings and their continuation.
We acknowledge that only the family and legal representatives of Abdullah Senussi would be able to confirm the veracity of this latest information.
Yet we must emphasize that while Khaled Al Sharif attends meetings with Muslim Brotherhood allies in Tripoli, Doha, Tunis and Istanbul, conveniently for the conspirators, the principal negotiators of this alleged agreement remain detained incommunicado.
Last, we know that one of the spokesmen involved in these negotiations provided the LIFG with false testimony against fellow detainees that resulted in their death sentences, in exchange for his freedom.
Therefore, we demand Abdullah Senussi be unconditionally released that he might address the public free from all threat of harm, whether directed towards himself or his family.
The “Forget September and February” negotiations have no legitimacy and must be abandoned.
To support them will not only sabotage any hope of genuine national reconciliation. It sustains the continued oppression, abuse and egregious human rights violations being perpetrated against these honorable, innocent men and other detainees in centers known and unknown, under LIFG control that continue to operate with impunity.
And this would be the deepest betrayal of the political prisoners, the untold thousands of martyrs and the glorious Al Fateh Revolution that raised Libya from the pit of darkness to the splendor of over 42 years of sovereignty, wealth and security that made the nation the jewel in the crown of Africa, the light of an entire continent, a beacon of hope, a noble defender of freedom and social justice for marginalized and oppressed peoples throughout the world.
Thus, for September, we make no apology.
The triumph of the Al Fateh Revolution was a victory not only for Libya, but for all of humanity.
We must never forget!

MORE ON THE CONSPIRACY AND CONSPIRATORS…
*Khalid al-Sharif was appointed deputy minister of defense on January 11, 2013. He worked with the Tripoli Military Council headed by Abdel Hakim Belhadj to form the National Guard which works directly with the Judicial police in supervising detention centers, including the notorious Al Hadba prison.
The al Qaeda – LIFG National Guard has over 10,000 terrorist fighters at its disposal.
In March, during a meeting with Turkish intelligence in Istanbul, Khaled al-Sharif proposed the assassination of Libyan National Army officers in Tripoli as a means of neutralizing opposition to the Muslim Brotherhood’s usurpation of Libya. The agenda involved replacing the legitimate Libyan National Army with his National Guard.
While the Vienna communique praised the creation of the Presidential guard as though it were an entirely new body comprised of “professional personnel according to Article III of the Presidential Council Decree No 2 to protect national institutions, members of the Presidential Council, and members of the government”, they were in fact placing an international seal of approval on the al Qaeda – LIFG 10,000-strong National Guard that al-Sharif and Belhadj created back in 2013.
