“Here – at this final hour, in this quiet place – Harlem has come to bid farewell to one of its brightest hopes -extinguished now, and gone from us forever. For Harlem is where he worked and where he struggled and fought – his home of homes, where his heart was, and where his people are – and it is, therefore, most fitting that we meet once again – in Harlem – to share these last moments with him. For Harlem has ever been gracious to those who have loved her, have fought her, and have defended her honor even to the death.

It is not in the memory of man that this beleaguered, unfortunate, but nonetheless proud community has found a braver, more gallant young champion than this Afro-American who lies before us – unconquered still. I say the word again, as he would want me to : Afro-American – Afro-American Malcolm, who was a master, was most meticulous in his use of words. Nobody knew better than he the power words have over minds of men. Malcolm had stopped being a ‘Negro’ years ago. It had become too small, too puny, too weak a word for him. Malcolm was bigger than that. Malcolm had become an Afro-American and he wanted – so desperately – that we, that all his people, would become Afro-Americans too.

There are those who will consider it their duty, as friends of the Negro people, to tell us to revile him, to flee, even from the presence of his memory, to save ourselves by writing him out of the history of our turbulent times. Many will ask what Harlem finds to honor in this stormy, controversial and bold young captain – and we will smile. Many will say turn away – away from this man, for he is not a man but a demon, a monster, a subverter and an enemy of the black man – and we will smile. They will say that he is of hate – a fanatic, a racist – who can only bring evil to the cause for which you struggle! And we will answer and say to them : Did you ever talk to Brother Malcolm? Did you ever touch him, or have him smile at you? Did you ever really listen to him? Did he ever do a mean thing? Was he ever himself associated with violence or any public disturbance? For if you did you would know him. And if you knew him you would know why we must honor him.

Malcolm was our manhood, our living, black manhood! This was his meaning to his people. And, in honoring him, we honor the best in ourselves. Last year, from Africa, he wrote these words to a friend: ‘My journey’, he says, ‘is almost ended, and I have a much broader scope than when I started out, which I believe will add new life and dimension to our struggle for freedom and honor and dignity in the States. I am writing these things so that you will know for a fact the tremendous sympathy and support we have among the African States for our Human Rights struggle. The main thing is that we keep a United Front wherein our most valuable time and energy will not be wasted fighting each other.’ However we may have differed with him – or with each other about him and his value as a man – let his going from us serve only to bring us together, now.

Consigning these mortal remains to earth, the common mother of all, secure in the knowledge that what we place in the ground is no more now a man – but a seed – which, after the winter of our discontent, will come forth again to meet us. And we will know him then for what he was and is – a Prince – our own black shining Prince! – who didn’t hesitate to die, because he loved us so.”

My personal opinion is that they are doing very well and barring direct imperialist military intervention, improvements will continue.

But we need to watch the situation closely. FARC and affiliated revolutionary organizations are clearly with Maduro along with ALBA, UNASUR and MERCOSUR. Any attempted intervention will backfire on the US.

Why not throw Capriles in jail? He’s more useful free.

I suspect intelligence are following his every move and those of his contacts and are building a case against him and his co-conspirators that is irrefutable and irrevocably damning.

Malcolm was a responsible, committed young man, dedicated to making the world a better place. He had a heart of pure gold and a brilliant mind.

I was extremely humbled and honored to be invited to participate in the historic Conference of African Migrants in Europe held from Jan. 15-17 in Tripoli, Libya, the Great Jamahiriya (People’s government). My comrades and I were invited by international peace activist Cynthia McKinney, former presidential candidate and former congresswoman, to be a part of her delegation, which included Hajj Malcolm Shabazz, the grandson of the late great Malcolm X (El Hajj Malik Shabazz) and former SF Bay View writer Ra’Shida.

Panels and many different speakers focused on issues that were pertinent to furthering a positive relationship between Africans on the continent with those in the diaspora. Some of the topics that stuck out to me were women having a voice, the brain drain on the continent, religious tolerance, and forging a strong connection, whether Africans want to come back to Africa or remain in the diaspora.

The first myth that was dispelled as soon as I got there was that continental Africans did not want us to come back or did not like us. The ones who live on the continent that we met were working towards realizing the dream of Marcus Garvey, Kwame Nkrumah, Seku Ture, El Hajj Malik El Shabazz aka Malcolm X, and Muamar Qadafi of uniting Africa into the United States of Africa, a true African union that would serve Africans on the continent and abroad; they loved us. Every breakfast, lunch and dinner were filled with discussions about politics, business and networking.

I salute the intention, the plan, and the time and energy of African people worldwide who are contributing to the multi-faceted work of uniting our people internationally into a reputable force where we have the power to determine the outcome of our lives, land and resources. I salute the conveners of the conference which made this possible for me to see.

It was another example of how the international corporate news keeps the world in the dark when it comes to the accomplishments of Black people worldwide.

The conference was a three-day event where we listened to speakers who consisted of academics, international and national African leaders from around the world, religious leaders, traditional kings and queens of Africa, sultans and regular people who were participants. We met the daughter of the late great Kwame Nkrumah, Samia Nkrumah, who is a Pan African politician in her own right. We met the son of the late great Congolese Prime Minister Patrice Lumumba, Roland Lumumba.

We listened to African women who fight for women’s rights and against traditional practices that violate the rights of women. We listened to various speakers who spoke on Islamic law, religious tolerance and other issues pertinent to the politics of African people on the planet. We met ambassadors from African countries and politicians from various countries. Some had ideas similar to the Pan Africanist views of Kwame Nkrumah and Seku Ture; some differed greatly.

The highlight of the conference for me was when the delegations from the diaspora were asked to submit delegates from their respective regions who would act as an advisory committee to the African Union when dealing with the diaspora in those particular regions or on issues that affect African people globally. Hajj Malcolm Shabazz was picked to sit on this committee and Ra’Shida was selected to be a sub.

Other highlights of the conference were listening to the panel that Cynthia McKinney hosted, which was the only panel led by a woman during the conference, as well as listening to the speech of Hajj Malcolm Shabazz who spoke at a televised event during the conference in front of Qadafi and was the only speaker of approximately 20 other speakers, besides Qadafi himself, who was given a standing ovation.

During the conference, we learned about the Green Book, the theoretical philosophy guiding Libya, written by the leader of their revolution and president of the African Union, M. Qadafi. Some of the ideas that I have read up to this point are brilliant and deserve further study and discussion within our communities – similar to how the Panthers made the Red Book essential study for the political scientists of our communities.

In terms of seeing Tripoli, we went to the Old Country of Tripoli, where we saw the Al Saraya, which is the piece of an American ship mast that was destroyed by the Libyan navy, which is hoisted on top of a building. We also saw the wall that the Roman Empire’s Marcus Aurelius built around Old Tripoli, which is close to the Mediterranean and surrounded by a harsh desert.

We learned that alcohol is illegal and that there are not any public Western dance clubs in this Islamic country. Our guide told us about how most essential goods are subsidized, especially gasoline, in this petroleum rich nation. A car that would easily have taken $45 dollars to fill up cost around $10 to top off. We saw a few malls in passing, but we shopped mainly in the open-air market that was close to the hotel we stayed in. We were hesitant to venture off to far, be it that we did not speak much Arabic and we were without a car. In the streets we noticed that the closer it got to the evening, the fewer Libyan women we would see in public on any given day that we left the hotel. I don’t know why, but I chalked it up to being a cultural thing.

Overall traveling to Tripoli, Libya, Africa, for the first time was a humbling experience in itself, and to participate in such a historic conference just put the icing on the cake. I’m even more dedicated now to getting our people better organized for power in our countries and communities in Africa, and all around the planet. I cannot fully put into words the way that this experience has affected me spiritually, politically and in many other ways. The only thing I can say is that I think all Black people should travel to Africa, the Motherland, at least once in their life if possible.

“I grieve with and for the Great Shabazz Family that has endured so much as our Royal family of Black Nationalism. We are always in debt to them for sharing their father, mother and now nephew and son with us.

Yesterday my dear and beloved brother Malcolm Latif El Shabazz was murdered in Tijuana, Mexico. He was 28 years old and is survived by his daughter, his mother, five aunts and several cousins. He has several book manuscripts that he wanted published, and he had pledged to be an agent of change. From June 2012 to Feb 2013 he was harassed and harried by police and government agents. Do not trust the mainstream media lies about him. They failed to make him into a Blackneck snitch and traitor, and he never wanted to sell us out. He has his pros and cons, but in life and in death he never wanted to be a compromised person. I loved Malcolm like a younger brother and he endured more suffering, lies and pain than twenty people. Let us pray for his family and honor the Shabazz family by refusing to sell out.

I loved Malcolm unconditionally and so did my friends who reached out to him. We are only as strong as a people as those in our midst that are hurting and suffering. I will go to my grave believing that Malcolm’s death is cOINTELPRO 2.0. I think he was targeted at birth for destruction, and what was done to him as a child by the fbi and later by the state of new york rank among the greatest human rights crimes of our era. Let us Love and reclaim our youth.”

Following contact with the Shabazz family, the Malcolm X and Dr. Betty Shabazz Memorial and Educational Center is confirming the tragic death of 28-year old Malcolm Shabazz, a grandson of the late El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz/Malcolm X and Dr. Betty Shabazz. Our young brother was reportedly killed yesterday morning (Thursday, May 9th), in Mexico.

The family has no official statement at this time, as they strive to cope with the shock and grief of their loss. We send our prayers and condolences to his mother Qubilah, his aunts and entire family.

The Rise of a Black Messiah, Racial Profiling and The New World Order

Goals: Prevent the coalition of militant Black nationalists groups, Prevent the rise of a Black messiah who could unify and electrify the militant Black nationalist movement, Prevent Black nationalist groups and leaders from gaining respectability by discrediting them to the community; a final goal should be to prevent the long-range growth of militant Black nationalists organizations especially among youth.

Cointelpro means Counter Intelligence Program operated by the FBI and its agents that infiltrated all of the Black organizations of the 1960′s: NAACP, Dr. King’s organization, CORE, SNCC, Black Panthers, Mississippi Democratic Freedom Party, etc. Under J. Edgar Hoover, head of the FBI, any Black leader with charisma was a target of Cointelpro; Hoover wanted to destroy any and all progressive movements that sought to advance the human and civil rights of Black people. Any Black person who sought voting rights, quality education, improved housing, decent jobs for Black people, or an end to police brutality was earmarked by Cointelpro for arrest or murder.

Two who were considered “Black Messiahs”, during the 1960′s, include Malcolm X and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

However, a seldom-articulated fact is that it was the youth who really influenced, inspired and moved both of these men to action. Dr. King did not want to see young Black boys go to war in Viet Nam and Malcolm X believed, in part, that if our race were to have a future, it was very important to “save the youth”.

What’s all this to do with racial profiling and the New World Order? Racial Profiling is directed specifically at Black Youth. Racial Profiling, under the philosophy of the New World Order, is the primary way Cointelpro has been kept alive in operation today. It goes like this: the government still believes that a Black Messiah might rise from among Black people and this ONE will have the ability to organize Blacks despite all of the artificial barriers that have perpetually divided us. The Black Messiah, it is understood, will have a plan that would unite our race despite religious, social, educational, economic, cultural and skin color divisions. The Black Messiah would have to be a Messiah, certainly, and have a divine plan to accomplish the mission of un-dividing us. This is very much possible when you look at our other greats: Paul Robeson, Marcus Garvey, Elijah Muhammad, etc. The Black Messiah would certainly be THE ultimate threat to defeat the formation and implementation of The New World Order (really, it’s the same old order). Again, how does racial profiling fit into this picture? The purpose of so-called “racial profiling” is not so much about the harassment of Black people, especially young Black men, but it has a more sinister purpose. “Racial Profiling” is designed, primarily, to get the fingerprints of all young Black men who are stopped by the police. The police are the “frontline data gatherers” for the FBI data bank so the government can monitor and keep tabs on the whereabouts of Black men. Why would the police and the judicial gatekeepers want the fingerprints, social security numbers, blood types, addresses, DNA samples and names of relatives of Black men? They are trying to prevent, by early detection, the rise of a Black Messiah! All young Black men still represent great genius and enormous potential and the government wants to stave off this genius and potential so as to keep Black people in perpetual service. Why do you think there are so many guns, drugs and alcohol stores in our Black communities? Why do you think big money is paid to music artists to sing lewd and degrading lyrics in their “songs” that destroy the moral fiber of communities? It’s all part of the plan to stop the rise of the Black Messiah.

Integration paved the way for the gatekeepers of the judicial system to have greater access to the Black Community. Especially, integration gave the police and judges the “legal authority” to code Black men for surveillance and monitoring. All of these actions are for the purpose of stopping the rise of a Black Messiah and, if Black men are kept in check, the New World Order will become the new reality. The police and the government are trying to identify and profile of the attributes of the Black Messiah so as to apprehend this ONE. Too late: Every Black man has the potential to be The Black Messiah, and the “authorities” know this. This is why today there are over two million people in the prisons of this country and a majority of those incarcerated are not necessarily guilty of any crime; they are just Black and are potentially all Black Messiahs.

Last weekend, Venezuela broadcast the movie “Malcolm X” on national television.

This comes within a week of the announcement that Assata Shakur was placed on the FBI’s most wanted list and a $2 million dollar bounty placed on her head.

There is an open war on Black America, Black liberation and Latin American revolutionary movements.

It’s time for people to unite and end the imperialist campaign of terror and extra-judicial killings.

It would take more than a small push from the US to bring down Venezuela. So we need to be vigilant without being defeatist.

I agree the people need to see some justice for the maimed and murdered during the post-election destabilization. Although the country is right not to turn Venezuela into a police state, the people need to feel the government and army can protect them. Capriles was caught conspiring against the country. What is the penalty for treason in Venezuela? He shouldn’t be exempt.

I agree that the minority government is weaker and I hoped the audit would have uncovered fraud on the part of the opposition. One blogger, Sabina Becker, said many votes were hacked and given to the opposition but no investigation uncovered it. So what explanation’s left? The people, for whatever reason, didn’t show up. We might never know why but the poor, the disenfranchised, the Afro-Venezuelan community, had nothing to gain from elite rule and the destruction of the Bolivarian revolution. So why the poor turnout and the incredible about-face in just 3 weeks? Were the opposition buying the poor out, paying them to stay home? Were threats of violence a deterrent? I think there’s more to come on that.

Whatever happened, Venezuelans have to work with the current reality and work a lot harder to keep the revolution moving forward.

Even with all the problems facing the revolutionary movements of Latin America, I’d move to any ALBA nation in a heartbeat, given the chance. I hope there’s more active revolutionary alliances between South America, the Caribbean and Africa. I don’t think the people in the North (and the West) get it yet either.

We’re going through a lot of changes here in terms of making editorial choices. It takes us twice as long to make decisions as it used to.

We don’t want to publish information from anyone outside the anti-imperialist, anti-capitalist milieu. For some topics this isn’t yet feasible.

We’ve been looking farther afield for the real revolutionaries and we read articles more than once before we publish. Even then we miss things and when we see something isn’t what we want to support, we remove it.

Assata Shakur in Her Own Words: Rare Recording of Activist Named to FBI Most Wanted Terrorist List

My name is Assata Shakur, and I was born and raised in the United States. I am a descendant of Africans who were kidnapped and brought to the Americas as slaves. I spent my early childhood in the racist segregated South. I later moved to the northern part of the country, where I realized that Black people were equally victimized by racism and oppression.

I grew up and became a political activist, participating in student struggles, the anti-war movement, and, most of all, in the movement for the liberation of African Americans in the United States. I later joined the Black Panther Party, an organization that was targeted by the COINTELPRO program, a program that was set up by the Federal Bureau of Investigation to eliminate all political opposition to the U.S. government’s policies, to destroy the Black Liberation Movement in the United States, to discredit activists and to eliminate potential leaders.

Under the COINTELPRO program, many political activists were harassed, imprisoned, murdered or otherwise neutralized. As a result of being targeted by COINTELPRO, I, like many other young people, was faced with the threat of prison, underground, exile or death. The FBI, with the help of local police agencies, systematically fed false accusations and fake news articles to the press accusing me and other activists of crimes we did not commit. Although in my case the charges were eventually dropped or I was eventually acquitted, the national and local police agencies created a situation where, based on their false accusations against me, any police officer could shoot me on sight. It was not until the Freedom of Information Act was passed in the mid-’70s that we began to see the scope of the United States government’s persecution of political activists.

At this point, I think that it is important to make one thing very clear. I have advocated and I still advocate revolutionary changes in the structure and in the principles that govern the United States. I advocate self-determination for my people and for all oppressed inside the United States. I advocate an end to capitalist exploitation, the abolition of racist policies, the eradication of sexism, and the elimination of political repression. If that is a crime, then I am totally guilty.

To make a long story short, I was captured in New Jersey in 1973, after being shot with both arms held in the air, and then shot again from the back. I was left on the ground to die, and when I did not, I was taken to a local hospital where I was threatened, beaten and tortured. In 1977 I was convicted in a trial that can only be described as a legal lynching.

In 1979 I was able to escape with the aid of some of my fellow comrades. I saw this as a necessary step, not only because I was innocent of the charges against me, but because I knew that in the racist legal system in the United States I would receive no justice. I was also afraid that I would be murdered in prison. I later arrived in Cuba where I am currently living in exile as a political refugee.

The New Jersey State Police and other law enforcement officials say they want to see me brought to “justice.” But I would like to know what they mean by “justice.” Is torture justice? I was kept in solitary confinement for more than two years, mostly in men’s prisons. Is that justice? My lawyers were threatened with imprisonment and imprisoned. Is that justice? I was tried by an all-white jury, without even the pretext of impartiality, and then sentenced to life in prison plus 33 years. Is that justice?

Let me emphasize that justice for me is not the issue I am addressing here; it is justice for my people that is at stake. When my people receive justice, I am sure that I will receive it, too.

This battle is going to last until the fascists either accept defeat or the leaders and organizers are arrested if they’re in the country or banned from entering the country if they’ve run back to the US with their tails between their legs.

La matriz de fraude ha sido la estrategia más usada por la oposición para fomentar entre sus seguidores la hostilidad que algunos dirigentes expresan ante los frustrados intentos de llegar al poder por la vía electoral; y los medios de comunicación privados han funcionado siempre como caja de resonancia de este tipo de animosidades.

Las denuncias de fraude por parte de la oposición cuando los resultados no le favorecen son de vieja data; hasta la fecha el país aun espera las supuestas pruebas contra la victoria, en 2004, del comandante Hugo Chávez, en el referendo donde fue ratificado por más de 59% de los electores.

“Este es un gobierno de mientras tanto”; “No vamos a reconocer un resultado hasta que no se cuente cada voto”, fueron las frases de Capriles, destacadas en páginas y pantallas, donde insiste en el desconocimiento de la voluntad popular que eligió a Maduro como Presidente de la República, mediante un proceso electoral automatizado, reconocido en el mundo entero, y en el que el conteo manual no existe.

Sin embargo, el martes 16 de abril, la primera plana de El Nacional, titulaba con esta cita del candidato perdedor: “Maduro es un presidente ilegítimo”.

El mismo día martes 15, a pocas horas de haber sido anunciado el resultado electoral, Capriles convocó a una rueda de prensa, transmitida por Globovisión, en la que mediante un discurso violento llamó a sus seguidores a drenar la “arrechera” y “expresar la rabia”, con un cacerolazo y protestas en las sedes regionales del CNE.

Luego de esta convocatoria a la violencia nueve venezolanos seguidores de la Revolución Bolivariana resultaron muertos y 78 lesionados, como consecuencia de los ataques sostenidos contra centros de salud, mercados de alimentos, sedes del Partido Socialista Unido de Venezuela (Psuv) y grupos que festejaban la victoria del candidato Nicolás Maduro, entre los cuales hubo un arrollamiento del que la víctima fatal fue una niña de 12 años.

Ante este lamentable escenario, el escritor Luis Britto García en entrevista con la Agencia Venezolana de Noticias (AVN), sostiene que “podría uno hipotetizar que corresponde a un plan ulterior, que es el de deslegitimar las elecciones con el objetivo de justificar una intervención extranjera”.

Britto explica que el actual plan de la oposición es “crear un estado de perturbación y de protesta, e inventar una respuesta represiva del Gobierno”, con lo último se refiere a portadas como la del diario El Universal, con fecha 16 de abril, en la que se observa una foto con jóvenes —acostados boca arriba, manos arriba, sin un rasguño—en la autopista Francisco Fajardo de Caracas, frente a un cordón de la Guardia Nacional Bolivariana (GNB) y se reseña, a pie de foto: “reprimieron la acción de los manifestantes en la autopista Francisco Fajardo y otras vías de la capital”.

Sin embargo, sobre los ataques que ocasionaron la muerte y heridos chavistas, en los medios privados no se dice nada o son tratados en las columnas de sucesos, como delitos comunes, descontextualizados de la coyuntura política y alejados del llamado violento hecho por Capriles.

“La prensa en este caso, y los medios en general, lo que han hecho fundamentalmente es ocultar la ocurrencia de estos sucesos, han dicho por un lado que esas cosas no han sucedido”, señala Luis Britto.

A lo largo de los días transcurridos desde el 15 de abril, los medios privados, en sintonía con el excandidato antichavista, continúan con la campaña por el inexistente reconteo de votos (54% del proceso fue auditado la misma noche del 14-A); a la que le agregan denuncias sobre una supuesta persecución de funcionarios públicos que simpatizan con la oposición, cacerolazos nocturnos y seguidores de Capriles heridos por los organismos de seguridad de Estado.

Además, para estos medios los chavistas no existen, salvo para decir que sus cohetazos fueron apagados por el golpeteo de las ollas.

Un plan incesante

Britto García insiste en que el objetivo de la derecha es “legitimar o excusar una intervención extranjera, una intervención de Estados Unidos o legitimar un golpe militar interno con apoyo de Estados Unidos”.

Para cumplir su meta, explica que los medios “han establecido patrones falsos de respuesta estatal”, y como ejemplo de ello advierte sobre la foto de una represión en Egipto, durante 2011, que es utilizada por la corresponsal en Venezuela del diario español ABC, Ludmila Vinogradoff, como “una prueba” de la supuesta violencia estatal. La gráfica fue posteriormente eliminada del blog de la periodista.

“Han recurrido incluso a la falsificación, con el objetivo de provocar una oleada de protestas, que por otro lado se aplacó”, agrega el escritor, quien sostiene que la estrategia del empleo de la violencia como caldo de cultivo para un golpe de Estado que propiciara una intervención extranjera, fracasó.

“Ya hemos visto que alegando disturbios, desordenes y protestas, las fuerzas imperiales han destruido países, por ejemplo el caso de Libia”, recuerda.

Ante esos intentos fallidos, Britto presume que Estados Unidos, que ya había cuestionado las elecciones de Venezuela por boca desu encargado de Relaciones Exteriores, John Kerry, se percató de que la operación no le saldría bien por no contar con el apoyo de la Fuerza Armada y porque tampoco existe tal agitación en la población.

“Hay que estar alerta porque esos son planes constantes, planes que no se desechan sino que siguen engavetados y listos para ponerse en practica cuando la coyuntura lo permita”, sentencia.

Aunque las acciones violentas de la oposición, que tuvieron su pico los días 15 y 16 de abril, fueron controladas por el Gobierno Bolivariano y las instituciones del Estado; y el Poder Electoral ofrece a Capriles Radonski todas las vías legales para impugnar lo que considere necesario, Britto García advierte que no hay que bajar la guardia.

La noche del pasado miércoles 24 de abril, en rueda de prensa transmitida por Globovisión, el excandidato antichavista aseguraba que desde el gobierno “se robaron el proceso electoral”. Para el candidato derrotado la contienda no termina y el árbitro electoral no existe, igual que los 7.575.704 venezolanos que decidieron continuar en la ruta hacia el socialismo.

Este capítulo se suma a uno de los expedientes más oscuros de la oposición en nuestra historia contemporánea: el golpe de Estado del 11 de abril de 2002, que dejó 19 muertos y numerosos heridos entre las filas revolucionarias y los opositores. Following Zubeidat Tsarnaev’s claim that her son, Tamerlan Tsarnaev, was set-up by the FBI, her brother-in-law, Ruslan Tsarni, was rolled out to engage in damage control and save the official narrative on the Boston bombings.

Tsarni called his nephews “losers” and insisted that because the brothers had failed to integrate themselves in the United States they were consumed with hatred.

The establishment media immediately spotlighted “Uncle Ruslan,” as they affectionately called him, and attempted to bury or at least minimize the impact of Zubeidat Tsarnaev’s claim that her sons are patsies.

“Tsarni’s own emotions have taken a roller-coaster of guilt and anger, he said in an interview, fueled by the family’s failure to recognize that Tamerlan’s interest in Islam over the past six years may have crossed into violent radicalism,” Bloomberg reported on Wednesday.

Uncle Ruslan, however, isn’t merely a concerned relative. It is said he not only worked for the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) in the former Soviet Republic of Kazakhstan, but also did time with Big Sky Energy Corp., a gas and oil corporation with ties to Cheney’s Halliburton, a Pentagon contractor in bed with the CIA.

As we noted on Wednesday, USAID is an agency used by the U.S. government to operate “humanitarian” NGOs instrumental in running color revolutions in former Soviet states. It collaborates with the Freedom House, the CIA front the National Endowment for Democracy, Soros Foundations, and the CIA’s Ford Foundation to undermine governments in the former Soviet Union, now the Russian Federation.

According to the The American Committee for Peace in the Caucasus website they were founded by Freedom House in 1999.

Even though they had a well established internet presence for years and anyone could look up who they were and see their connections, mathaba.net still posted their material in 2004.

Although they would argue that AK (too many aliases to list) won a case against the Telegraph for implicating him in 9-11 because he ran the SSS website (their links on all the SSS web-pages is significant, not incidental) they still continued to support the work of SSS by promoting extremist groups, be they Chechen Al Qaeda or far right Nazis that were engaged in assassinations and destabilizations in anti-imperialist countries.

The Sunday Telegraph reported about another military training course, this time at a secret camp near the village of Yetgoch in southern Wales. Chechen Terrorist Networks Trace Back to the US State Department

With the latest developments regarding the suspects identified in the Boston Bombing, reports of the alleged perpetrators’ Chechen heritage are being used by the whole of the mainstream media to draw connections between the bombing and Islamic terrorism. Even despite the desire of mainstream magazines like Salon for the bomber(s) to have been white Americans, the narrative being paraded in front of the American collective is currently satisfied with the meme of the Chechen Muslim fundamentalist.

Indeed, in a recent report by FOX News, entitled “Ties Between Islamic Extremist Groups and Chechnya Well-Documented,” the organization states,

Reports that the suspects in the Boston bombing are believed to be from the region near Chechnya may have caught some by surprise — rebels in Chechnya are known for their violent and long-running campaign to break away from Russia, but not for exporting terror to America.

But congressional researchers and foreign policy analysts have long tracked a connection between the Chechnya region and Islamic extremists with Al Qaeda and the Taliban. If the suspects are indeed Chechen, analysts told Fox News they may represent part of a jihadi network which has made its way to American soil.

The report also clearly states that “The ties between major Islamic extremist groups and Chechnya are well-documented, particularly pertaining to extremists’ support for the separatists in Chechnya.”

Likewise, it was stated by Michael Wines of the New York Times, in an article published as far back as December 9, 2001, entitled “War on Terror Casts Chechen Conflict in New Light,” that “Chechnya’s guerrillas are indisputably financed by a web of Islamic charities, banks and other organizations that have served as cash conduits for terrorist groups.”

Wines also writes,

On one hand, the Wahhabi takeover here, like much of the Chechen war, was clearly propelled by outside support. Residents say the Wahhabis also had ties to a notorious training camp that indoctrinated Chechens and foreigners alike in Islamic militancy and military tactics.

There are strong indications that the camp and its leader, a guerrilla from the Middle East known as Khattab, have ties to Osama bin Laden and Al Qaeda.

Yet, although the narrative promoted by both FOX News and The New York Times, as well as the vast majority of the other mainstream media outlets revolves around the traditional notion of crafty Arab Muslims hiding in caves and successfully plotting to outsmart one of the most sophisticated police states in the world, as is almost always the case, these outlets are fundamentally missing the most important piece of the puzzle.

Interestingly enough, this missing puzzle piece was hinted at in 2001 by Michael Wines where he mentions that “the Wahhabi takeover” in Chechnya, “like much of the Chechen war, was clearly propelled by outside support.”

Indeed, in order to see the direct connection between the U.S. government and Chechen terrorism, one need only look toward the leader of the “Chechen rebels,” the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Chechen Republic-Ichkeria, Ilyas Akhmadov, who resides internationally by bouncing back and forth between the United States and Britain all on the tab of the U.S. State Department ever since 2004.

Being more willing to report on the treachery of the United States than the American press, the Russian news agency KMNews was quite willing to pick up on the American bankrolling of foreign terrorists. The agency wrote,

In early August, . . . Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Chechen Republic-Ichkeria, Ilyas Akhmadov received political asylum in the USA. And for his ‘outstanding services,’ Akhmadov received a Reagan-Fascell grant,” including a monthly stipend, medical insurance, and well-equipped office with all necessary support services, including the possibility of meetings with political circles and leading US media . ..”[1]

KMNews then asked, “What about our partners in the ‘anti-terrorist’ coalition?”

The agency then went on to cite the official expressions of support by then-President George W. Bush, Condoleezza Rice, and State Department spokesman Richard Boucher in order to acknowledge the seemingly bizarre hypocrisy of these officials as they prosecuted a war OF terror all across the globe.

KMNews also pointed out that the generous grant money provided to Akhmadov by the Reagan-Fascell Foundation is nothing more than a thinly veiled payment to Akhmadov by the U.S. State Department. This is because the Reagan-Fascell Foundation is actually financed by the U.S. Congress via the budget of the State Department itself.

KMNews then tellingly explained the motivation behind the funding and support of Chechen terrorist networks. It stated,

Thus, the conclusion is obvious. Willingly or not, Downing Street and the White House provoked the guerrillas to these latest attacks [Beslan school massacre in 2004]. Willingly or not, Great Britain and the USA have nurtured the separatists with material, information and diplomatic resources. Willingly or not, the policy of London and Washington fostered the current terrorist acts.” “As the ancients said, cui bono? Perhaps we are too hasty with such sweeping accusations against our ‘friends’ and ‘partners’? Is there a motive for the Anglo-American ‘anti-terrorist coalition’ to fan the fires of terror in the North Caucasus?” “Alas, there is a motive. It is no secret, that the West is vitally interested in maintaining instability in the Caucasus. That makes it easier to pump out the fossil fuels, extracted in the Caspian region, and it makes it easier to control Georgia and Azerbaijan, and to exert influence on Armenia. Finally, it makes it easier to drive Russia out of the Caspian and the Caucasus. Divide et impera! – the leaders of the Roman Empire already introduced this simple formula for subjugation.

Yet Akhmadov was not the only separatist terrorist that was given asylum in the Western Anglo Zone. Akmad Zakayev and Aslan Mashkhadov (given asylum in London, England) were also granted protection by the U.S. and Britain in 2003. Zakayev is designated as the “special representative” of Mashkhadov.

In addition, it is also widely known within European media, political, and intelligence circles that certain leaders of the Chechen terrorist networks are closely connected to the American CIA, if not agents outright. Shamil Basayev, described as the “brutal Chechen field commander” by Webster Tarpley, happens to be one of those individuals. It should be noted that Basayev was linked to the Beslan school massacre as well.

Even more than the open harboring of Chechen terrorists, however, is the fact that Western agents have themselves been caught in the act of aiding and actually conducting acts of terror. Indeed, toward the end of 2004, it was reported by RBC that a British agent who was working for a Czech Republic-based NGO was arrested for blowing up a Russian armed personnel carrier. It was also reported that other British agents were caught “instructing Chechen gangs in how to lay mines.”

Again, as Tarpley writes,

The RBC commentary goes on to cite the Economist of August 19, which contained what RBC characterizes as a virtual ultimatum to Russia. RBC notes that “the carrying out of such a series of coordinated, highly professional terrorist attacks, would be impossible without the help of qualified ‘specialists’.” RBC notes that at the end of August one such “specialist,” working for an NGO based in the Czech republic, was arrested for blowing up a Russian armed personnel carrier. Also, British “experts” have been found instructing Chechen gangs in how to lay mines. “It cannot be excluded, that also in Beslan, the logistics of the operation were provided by just such ‘specialists’,” notes RBC.

The RBC editorial concludes: “Apparently, by having recourse to large-scale terrorist actions, the forces behind that terrorism, have now acted directly to force a ‘change’ in the political situation in the Caucasus, propagating interethnic wars into Russia. “The only way to resist this, would be for Moscow to make it known, that we are ready to fight a new war, according to new rules and new methods — not with mythical ‘international terrorists’, who do not and never existed, but with the controllers of the ‘insurgents and freedom fighters’; a war against the geopolitical puppet-masters, who are ready to destroy thousands of Russians for the sake of achieving their new division of the world.” (RBC, September 7, 2004)

Regardless of the final connections regarding the Boston Bombing, the alleged perpetrators, and the connection to Chechen terrorism, one must always be cognizant of the relevant geopolitical facts in order to avoid being swindled and wholly misinformed by clouded mainstream accounts of narratives that are, themselves, entirely mythical.

The myth of an independent (of Anglo-American control) and organic al-Qaeda is one that is easily dismantled upon even a small modicum of research and investigation. From the founding of al-Qaeda by Western forces in the 1970s to the use of death squads in Iraq, Libya, and now Syria, it is clear that al-Qaeda is nothing less than a wholly owned subsidiary of the Anglo-American intelligence community. It is, in effect, the CIA Arab Legion.

If the United States government eventually blames the Boston Bombings on Chechen terrorists, whether legitimately or intentionally by virtue of a false flag, then such a situation is undoubtedly a two-edged sword. If the American people are ever capable of understanding that international Muslim fundamentalist terrorist networks – from the United States, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Libya, or Chechnya – are entirely organized, directed, and controlled by Western Anglo-American powers themselves, it may prove to be the end of the imperialist foreign policy, domestic police state mechanisms, and austerity measures. If the American people, however, continue to bite the bait of terror and fear, there may be no limits to the depths the United States and the rest of the world will sink.

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the 19-year-old surviving suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings, was formally charged Monday with use of and conspiracy to use a weapon of mass destruction resulting in death, a federal offense that carries the death penalty.

A federal judge was brought to Tsarnaev’s hospital bed along with an assistant US attorney and a public defender for the formal presentation of the charges. Tsarnaev, who suffered multiple wounds before his capture last Friday, remains in serious condition, on a ventilator and under sedation. He is reportedly unable to verbally communicate because of a gunshot wound to the throat.

With one brother dead and the other wounded so he cannot speak, there is no one to contradict the official story that the two operated alone and without any knowledge of US intelligence agencies.

The hospital hearing marked the first time since his capture that Tsarnaev, a US citizen, has seen a lawyer. The Obama administration announced its intention not to read him his Miranda rights to remain silent and be represented by an attorney on the pretext of a “public safety” exemption, even though law enforcement officials in Boston assured the public that they were in no further danger. This gave an FBI-CIA interrogation team unfettered access to Tsarnaev, who was reportedly able to respond only by moving his head or writing down answers.

In his formal statement announcing the charges, Attorney General Eric Holder paid tribute “to the valor of state and local police, the dedication of federal law enforcement and intelligence officials, and the vigilance of members of the public.” John Carlin, the acting assistant attorney general for national security, added, “The events of the past week underscore in stark terms the need for continued vigilance against terrorist threats both at home and abroad.”

But even as the Justice Department and the FBI were patting each other on the back, a group of lawmakers raised pointed questions as to how and why the FBI failed to prevent the bombing after the older brother, Tamerlan, had been identified to the agency by the Russian government as a terrorist suspect.

In a letter to FBI Director Robert Mueller and Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, the Republican chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, Michael McCaul of Texas, and its former chairman, Republican Congressman Peter King of New York, demanded all material related to Tsarnaev’s case, including classified reports. The two wrote:

“The FBI interviewed Tamerlan Tsarnaev at the request of a foreign liaison service, on the basis of suspicions that Tsarnaev was involved in terrorist activities. Tsarnaev subsequently traveled to and from Russia and posted jihadist materials on his social media. Yet Tsarnaev remained at liberty in this country to conduct the Boston attack, and it took days to publicly identify him as a suspect.”

In a television interview Sunday, McCaul asked, “If he [Tamerlan] was on the radar and they let him go, if he was on the Russians’ radar, why wasn’t a flag put on him, some sort of customs flag?”

The FBI has publicly claimed that it interviewed Tamerlan only once, in 2011, but found no evidence that he was of any concern. It also claimed that the Russian government failed to provide any further information substantiating its warning.

Every aspect of this official story has been called into question in the wake of the Boston bombings.

The mother of the two brothers has stated in interviews that the FBI maintained continuous contact with her elder son over the course of three to five years. “They were controlling his every step,” she said. She also recounted that FBI agents had told her that “Tamerlan was an extremist leader and they were afraid of him.”

The Moscow-based correspondent of Newsweek and the Daily Beast, Anna Nemtsova, interviewed a “well-placed security source” in Russia, who said that when Tamerlan visited Dagestan for six months in 2012, Russian security services and police in Dagestan were “watching him closely for five months and three weeks” and had compiled an extensive dossier on him.

The Tsarnaev family had its roots in neighboring Chechnya, the scene of two bitter separatist wars in the 1990s that gave rise to an armed Islamist movement. Neither the parents nor the two brothers, who grew up largely in the US, had ever lived there.

NBC News, meanwhile, reported that Tamerlan had been monitored by Russian police agencies as he visited a “known Islamic militant” in a mosque in Dagestan during his six-month visit. It further quoted a local police official as saying that an extensive case file on the 26-year-old had been sent to the FBI, together with a request for information. The FBI reportedly never replied.

Britain’s Channel 4 News reported on Sunday, quoting the father of the two brothers, that days after the bombings, Tamerlan received a phone call from the FBI accusing him of being responsible for the attack.

The multiple reports indicating far more extensive contact with Tamerlan Tsarnaev and knowledge of his activities than the FBI has admitted raise a number of questions.

Why did the FBI effectively ignore the Russian warning, as well as, apparently, a dossier detailing contacts with Islamist elements? Why did it conceal its sustained contact with the 26 year old?

An attempt to cover up gross incompetence is certainly not excluded. However, a more plausible explanation is that US intelligence agencies had developed plans for using their knowledge about Tamelan’s activities to their own advantage.

Given its covert support for separatist movements in the Caucasus, it is entirely possible that Washington decided not to interfere with someone who could be viewed as an asset in furthering these movements. The Chechen Islamists have also supplied substantial numbers of fighters for the war for regime-change in Syria, which Washington is backing.

It is also possible that the FBI could utilize such intelligence to blackmail Tsarnaev into working as its confidential informant in the US itself.

One side of the Boston Marathon bombings that the corporate media has virtually blacked out is the extraordinary security measures that were in place before any bombing took place. A number of participants have noted that bomb-sniffing dogs were present both at the starting and finish line, as well as police spotters on rooftops, something they had never seen at previous marathons. Indeed, announcements were made at the beginning of the race telling participants not to be concerned and that the extraordinary security was part of “a training exercise.”

Also blacked out from media coverage is the participation in this “exercise” of a shadowy Blackwater-style security/mercenary outfit by the name of Craft International. Photographs of operatives of this firm, dressed in identical black jackets, combat fatigue pants and desert combat boots, and wearing shirts and caps bearing its logo—a bleeding skull with a target site in its eye socket—have been widely posted on the Internet.

Photographs of these mercenaries show them wearing large black backpacks that are similar to those that were said to have carried the pressure-cooker explosive devices that blew up at the marathon’s finish line.

The question arises as to whether the Tsarnaev brothers were the witting or unwitting participants in an exercise that went wrong, or one that was organized by the American state with the aim of producing precisely the results that it did.

What were those results? The US military and intelligence apparatus was able to utilize an isolated terrorist incident to carry out the most massive deployment of militarized police in the country’s history, subjecting an entire metropolitan area of over one million people to what amounted to martial law.

Under conditions of mounting social tensions driven by the protracted economic crisis and ever deepening social inequality, such a deployment provides training and experience for use in confronting the future eruption of class struggle.

Formerly called the American Committee for Peace in Chechnya, the American Committee for Peace in the Caucasus (ACPC) is a project of Freedom House that claims to be “dedicated to monitoring developments in the region and providing expert analysis of their implications for security, stability and the human rights situation.”[1]

ACPC was founded in 1999 by Freedom House, a neoconservative organization that has worked closely with the U.S. government, receiving funds from the National Endowment for Democracy and other U.S. democratization initiatives. ACPC updated its name to include the broader region after conflicts erupted between Russia and other Caucasus enclaves such as Ingushetia, Dagestan, Kabardino-Balkaria, Karachay-Cherkessia and North Ossetia.[2]

ACPC’s activities include organizing public education programs, developing policy recommendations for lawmakers, and collaborating with activists, journalists, and scholars. It also works closely with a range of nongovernmental policy groups and think tanks, including the neoconservative policy outfit the American Enterprise Institute and the right-wing Jamestown Foundation. The committee distributes a weekly email news service and newsletter entitled News of the Week. ACPC’s web site contains a news archive, policy papers relating to the U.S. role in the Caucasus, and academic papers, maps, and photos of the conflict.

Glen Howard, the president of the Jamestown Foundation, also serves as ACPC’s executive director.[3] Howard previously worked as a military analyst for Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), a high-tech defense contractor, and has served as a consultant for the Department of Defense, National Intelligence Council, and “major oil companies operating in Central Asia and the Middle East.”[4]

The publications of Howard’s two organizations often overlap. For example, the Jamestown Foundation produces North Caucasus Weekly, an ezine that features contributions by ACPC board members.[5] ACPC’s website is typically dominated by reposts from Jamestown. Both groups also work extensively with Soviet defectors and Chechen dissidents.

ACPC’s board of directors has included both Democratic and Republican elites, including Zbigniew Brzezinski, Alexander M. Haig, Jr., Steven J. Solarz, and Max Kampelman. The committee’s more than one hundred members has also reflected a wide political spectrum, including such figures as Richard Gere, Morton Abramowitz, and the late Geraldine Ferraro. However, membership is overwhelmingly hawkish, and many high-profile neoconservatives, some associated with the Project for the New American Century, have featured on its membership rolls, including Richard Perle, Frank Gaffney, Elliott Abrams, Midge Decter, William Kristol, Michael Ledeen, and James Woolsey.[6]

ACPC supports the Chechen rebel movement, apparently as a strategy to weaken Russia and establish better U.S. ties in a region of increasing geopolitical value, which has vast, unexploited natural resource reserves including rich oil, gas, and hard mineral deposits.[7]

ACPC is perhaps the only U.S.-based organization in which national security militarists and neoconservatives openly support an insurgent movement that is not only nationalist but also largely Islamist.[8] Although ACPC notes its concern about human rights violations and issues of self-determination, far more attention appears to be given to simply advancing U.S. geopolitics by weakening Russia and China.[9]

The Smith Richardson Foundation has been the largest donor to the ACPC, giving sums totaling almost $420,000 to Freedom House from 2002-2004.[10]

Given that Capriles and the elite are committed to continuing acts of protest, the measures taken by the government in the next week will either bring the plot to a full stop or pave the way for further destabilization. Maduro has the ability to be a strong, effective leader. But it would be naive for the people to underestimate the elite and their US supporters. After all, the Bolivarian Revolution is not only for the government to carry forward. It is the people’s revolution. I hope that the government will return to fulfilling Chavez’ plan of moving Venezuela towards direct democracy.

I think that Jorge and Felipe asked constructive questions that will be contribute to building a stronger, more stable foundation for the Bolivarian Revolution as it advances and deepens.

So far the military stand with the elected government and I do not foresee any shift in their position.

The best we can do to assist Venezuela is circulate official government statements and follow their recommendations because they understand the full nature of the conspiracy against the country.

This is not a battle between Maduros and Capriles.

It is a struggle between the Bolivarian Revolution and Venezuelan sovereignty and US imperialism, foreign intervention and the total collapse and destruction of a sovereign nation.

The furor endangering a country

Henrique Capriles, the candidate of Venezuela’s oligarchy and imperialism, has lost two presidential elections in six months. The first on October 7, 2012, against Chávez. The second, this April 14 against Nicolás Maduro. Capriles’ most recent election victory took place on December 16, 2012 when he became governor of Miranda, with an advantage of just 45,111 votes over his Bolivarian opponent, Elías Jaua. At that time, the National Electoral Council (CNE) seemed to him to be a very fair, respectable, and transparent body.

This April 14, Capriles lost to Nicolás Maduro by a difference of 234,935 votes (according the first official bulletin released). And as he made clear through his attitude prior to the elections, he is not accepting the result and he has called for national protest with cacerolazos (banging of pots and pans in street demonstrations), guarimbas (public disorders, blocking streets), accusations and refusal to acknowledge the election results, lies, and fear campaigns, denying the President-elect’s legitimacy and ignoring the majority will of the people, leading in the aftermath of the election to despicable acts of violence against some properties including health facilities, and residential, commercial, and political buildings.

Undoubtedly, the coming days in Venezuela will be tense. The irresponsible attitude of the defeated candidate and his campaign staff, which receive their orders and assistance from the U.S. embassy in Caracas, aims to create a similar climate to that of April 2002. Only this time the leadership of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces is connected to the people and is loyal to their Comandante en Jefe; the Bolivarians are more organized, the national public system of communication is more solid and Nicolás, the elected President, has told them that he is a man of peace, but that he will not allow the country to descend into violence.

The sore loser and his mentors are lashing out against the CNE. They are demanding a recount of the votes, a demand that the Bolivarians accept, confident as they are that they will emerge even better when the non-automated votes are counted, which come from the remotest areas of the country where there is majority support for the revolution. But Capriles has not requested a peaceful audit process. His fit of temper, as well scripted as his election campaign, involves creating a series of destabilization events, and in any one of these scenes something out of the ordinary could happen which could put the country’s peace at risk.

Let us not forget today’s new style of coup d’etat, which has already been rehearsed with a certain degree of success in Honduras and Paraguay; and we say “a certain degree of success” because the people’s response to the events and the reaction across the continent also point to the existence of a new way of dealing with the situation. For the Bolivarian revolutionaries this is a time to be alert, patient and firm. While the opposing temper tantrum spreads its class hatred throughout Venezuela, the people must unite around Nicolás Maduro, the continuator of Chávez’ work.

If the Venezuelan opposition had learned the rules of the democratic game (with which Chávez won 17 to 1), they would now be leading the large number of their followers (680,000 more than in October 2012) instead of calling them to battle. Capriles has the responsibility to guide and lead those who voted for him, not to take them into confrontation, as they did in 2002, attempting to take by force the power they could not win at the polls.

Having been declared President by the CNE, Nicolás Maduro has sent a clear message: “A majority is a majority and in a democracy this should be respected, we should not be looking for ambushes, pretexts to put the sovereignty of the people at risk (…); all that has one name: golpismo (coup-plotting). And that is what this is all about, the next chapter of a novel in which the recurring theme is an ongoing coup and an intention to topple the revolution by force. Because by the proper channels (with votes) they have lost again.

Plan of Action and Resistance of the United Active Youth of Venezuela (JAVU) for April 14, 2013

Introduction:

We’re just a few days away from a presidential election which from the start has been one of the most unjust and unequal of all time, while the Cuban government tightens its control on our nation by way of its principal puppet, the usurper Nicolás Maduro.

We call on all Venezuelans to overcome fear. We have demonstrated that when we demand with firmness and force, we achieve our objectives.

Giving up will never be an option. They will have to roll right over us if they think they can violate the constitution and abuse and take advantage of us without consequence, because:

1. No Venezuelan could be in agreement with such an embarrassment of a Defense Minister who bows down before the Brothers Castro and makes partisans of our Armed Forces.

2. No Venezuelan could be in agreement with a criminal Electoral Council, accomplice of opportunism and the principal party responsible for robbing Venezuelans of a free and fair electoral process.

3. No Venezuelan could be in agreement with a Supreme Tribunal of Justice which violates the Constitution, criminalizes protests, and legitimates the power of an usurper.

4. And above all, no Venezuelan could support an usurper who abuses the resources of the State, holds national broadcasts to campaign, and is afraid to publicly debate his ideas and proposals before the country.

This April 14, we will confront an unjust battle, but we’ll put up a fight, because beyond being the way to overcome our political differences, that day represents the opportunity to recuperate the constitution peacefully and reclaim the history they have tried to manipulate.

The international community should not be an accomplice to violations of international human rights treaties, but we’ll take care of ourselves, the Venezuelan people will fight for our rights.

We will take over the streets for civil disobedience by ay means necessary, because we know that you get respect when you overcome fear. Let the government make no mistake: We will never bow down before their power, the democratic student movement will never accept electio results that have been biased from the start.

We know that opportunity comes to us by the electoral way, but the electoral powers seek to manipulate the results to keep this illegitimate and usurping government in power. For that reason, JAVU, along with the political, economic and shock forces of the opposition, will not recognize said results. We call for civil resistance in the streets and, in this manner, we will make them respect the votes of the oppressed majority who want a change of government. There is no chance whatsoever that the usurper will win these elections unless the electoral organism helps him steal them.

We also will not recognize any opposition director or political organization that takes part in the deception. Any opposition speaker who calls for us to accept the results of the electoral fraud will be considered a paid stooge of this illegitimate government, and we will turn our methods against him.

Our civil democratic society must not forget that this national crisis is the absolute responsibility of the late Hugo Chávez, who tried in his day to take political power via a coup d’état and, in the same totalitarian spirit, consigned Venezuela to division, backwardness and Castro-communist dictatorship. We emphatically reject the electoral measures that the Democratic Unity Table has put forward and in which, as usual, they evade confrontation with the figure of Chávez.

Chavez is the sole party responsible for this sad reality, and we must not hide this fact. God gave us this new opportunity to put this country on the road to democracy once more!

For that reason, it is our duty as active citizens, from all of civil society, to aid in the development of the lines of action expressed here.

All of us must be part of Operation Sovereignty!

Lines of action to follow for the activation of Operation Sovereignty, April 14, 2013.

In the event of an electoral pronunciation in favor of the ruling party, JAVU will activate a Plan of Civil Resistance on three fronts:

1. Takeover of strategic public spaces in the most important cities of the land. These takeovers must be conducted efficiently, effectively, and quickly, after the Electoral Commission gives the election results, in such a way that the police forces are taken by surprise and unable to react. Also, they must be accompanied by protests (burning of tires and garbage, construction of barricades, and whatever other method.) This action will permit us to economically strangle the urban centers, as we will be stopping the distribution of foods and supplies, as well as the flow of fuel at service stations.

2. Creation of an opinion matrix of delegitimization of the Electoral Commission, the national government, the Armed Forces, the Judicial and Moral Powers, and the political parties, using the social networks. Our opinion leaders on Twitter and Facebook already are in the thick of things and know the lines to follow. The production of message content is our job and will be made known in a pertinent manner. The intention of this front is to replicate our messages as many times as possible and mobilize civil society to action in the streets of every city.

3. Execution of the Selective Social Boycott plan. On this front, we will be visiting governmental institutions and homes of government spokespeople in the most important cities, where we will take over governments and mayoralties that are in the hands of the ruling party. In this phase we count on the support of spokespeople authorized by the Catholic Church and the media who will legtimate our actions. We are establishing contacts with various officials from the National Democratic Armed Forces for a military uprising afterwards.

As the hours go by we hope that political and economic strangulation, as well as media power, will allow us to generate enough street-level support in civil society. In the first phase we will establish a New Parallel Government and will profess the existence of a Double Sovereignty with the intention of tipping civil society in our favor, via an opinion matrix based in the search for a union of said governments and mayoralties under our democratic leadership and the union of all Venezuelans.

Protest manual for street takeovers:

When the CNE announces the election results, move quickly to the strategic points of protest.
Wear comfortable clothing and bring the following: portable radios, vinegar, smartphones, cameras, drinking water, flashlights, lighters, caps and ski masks that can be worn like hoods, slingshots, gasoline, flammable products, and objects that can be used in self-defence.
Leave all personal documents at home.
Arrive at protest points on foot or by taxi. Don’t bring your car.
Come prepared to fight for Freedom and Democracy.
