The Libyan Resistance Did Not Kill Ambassador Stevens

I opened a discussion on what may have been behind the events on September 11, 2012 that resulted in the death of US Ambassador Chris Stevens, exploring the possibility that the murder was a smokescreen for joint NATO-CIA exercises in Benghazi.

I stated at the time that,

“I do not concur with reports that the assassination of Ambassador Stevens was the work of the Libyan Resistance.”

On September 12th I stated,

“Ambassador Stevens was tortured to death by Al Qaeda.

These events (referring to the assassination of Ambassador Stevens and protests in over 120 countries) were carefully planned in advance and orchestrated by the Muslim Brotherhood and foreign intelligence agencies and were not motivated by the anti-Muslim documentary, but are part of a wider agenda related to plans for an expanding war theater from Syria into Iran and Turkey.”

Below is a link to an official statement from the Libyan Resistance that was issued on September 12, 2012,  where they unequivocally declare that they condemn the attack on Ambassador Stevens and US diplomatic staff and neither support the actions nor were behind them.
